THORNHILL COLLEGE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL 2016

‘Two households, both alike in dignity In fair Verona where we lay our scene’ ….

This year’s event, staged in the school Assembly Hall on Tuesday 25th October, got off to an excellent start with 10A performing the opening scenes from one of Shakespeare’s much loved and most performed tragedies ‘Romeo and Juliet’.   10B followed with their excellent interpretation and then all other classes right through to 10H who performed the moving and dynamic denouement of the play.  Each Year 10 class performed beautifully and received richly deserved praise from the adjudicators. Heartfelt congratulations go to 10E who were awarded best overall performance!

‘For never was a story of more woe,

Than this of Juliet and her Romeo’
