The Onatti Theatre Company visit Thornhill to perform the French play 'Mes Chers Voisins'
The Onatti Theatre Company are regular visitors to Thornhill and this year they performed the French play 'Mes Chers Voisins' to a very enthusiastic group of Year 10 and Year 11 pupils.
Their plays are specifically written for pupils, mixing key vocabulary and phrases, supported by visual comedy and, of course, some audience participation.
"I really enjoyed the play. I found it really well put together and the actors did well. I liked how it was able to understand what was going on. The only thing I would change would be to add more actors. I also like the storyline."
(Maeve, Year 10)
"The actors made a very good effort to ensure that the audience understood what was going on. It had a comical & interesting storyline. The actors elaborated all the key facts of the play."
(Meena, Year 10)
"I really enjoyed the performance. It was very well thought out and the actors were very funny.
It was well emphasised if you didn’t understand what they were saying, as they pointed to something to make it clear. I also like the way they interacted with the audience."
(Emma, Year 10)
"I think the play was very funny and creative. The actors were very good and they also included the audience. I found it very easy to follow the storyline and everything was made very clear so we can understand the play."
(Aoife, Year 10)
"I loved the play, it was very funny and interactive. The actors repeated key phrases and spoke clearly. It was also clear to understand as they pointed at what they talked about. They made it very funny so it is more memoriable."
"I thought it was very funny and I understood what they meant by the actions they were doing. I would watch it several more times as I enjoyed it and it was very over emphasised. C’était super!"
(Shannon, Year 10)
