Congratulations to all of our girls for their achievements at the All-Ireland Athletics Championships in Tullamore.

To compete in the All-Irelands the girls had qualified in the top 8 in Ireland in their respective events.

Veronica O’Neill, Year 9, ran a personal best time to come 2nd in the 75m hurdles, taking home an All-Ireland silver medal.

Cara Laverty, Year 11, took home a bronze medal in the 1500m, medalling in the All Ireland’s for the 2nd year in a row.

The Year 9 relay team finished fourth in the relay in a personal best time. Team members are Grainne McGuinness, Leah Barr, Jasmine O’Kane and Veronica O’Neill.

These are outstanding achievements for all the girls involved, and in particular for our Year 9s are this was their first All-Ireland Championships.
